The performance management system for federal government agencies 2012 is considered one of the best human resource practices at the federal government level, which it seeks to anchor by linking an employee’s individual goals to the objectives of the establishment and thus the federal government’s strategy.

The system measures the efficiency of the staff and steps it up through rewarding achievement and motivating staff. This helps in creating efficiencies and national abilities to move forward towards leadership and excellence, sought by the UAE to reach the highest echelons of global competitiveness.

The performance management system is a process used to evaluate employee performance compared with targets and key indicators of performance, and it is also a practical translation process for all phases of planning in the government and instils justice, transparency and equality among all employees.

The system is part of a structure of policies, legislation and HR systems and benefits from global best practices and lays the foundation for a new culture in the work of federal government institutions. It serves as a great achievement added to a series of federal government achievements to constitute a reference for all ministries and federal agencies in managing the performance of their employees in the best possible manner.
